2024 Upward Baseball League

We are entering our 7^th year of Upward Baseball at Brookfield Lutheran.  We are excited to host another fun season of baseball, friendships, and sharing the love of Jesus with kids and families.  We use a fast-paced practice and game format to help kids learn and enjoy playing baseball at any skill level.  If you love Upward for Flag Football, Cheerleading, Basketball, or Soccer, you’ll love Upward Baseball!!

Registration is open as of November 14, 2023. 

Ages:  Grades K5*-4^th - Boys and Girls

*K5 – “parent works with their child” guided by Coach Bob Heinkel to build child’s skill and parent/child      relationship

Cost:  $110 November 14 to January 14, 2023 – early bird discount

          $140 January 15 to March 14, 2023 – if space (we fill up!)

• Includes Upward baseball jersey
• Includes use of all batting cages, pitching and hitting machines, teaching gear, bats, balls, tees
• Player skill development plan led by veteran coach Bob Heinkel

Brookfield Lutheran Church Baseball Fields
18500 W. Burleigh Road (fields are west of the main church building)

EVALUATIONS:

Everyone must attend the (indoor) baseball evaluation:
            Tuesday, MARCH 12, 4:30-7:00pm (45-minute time slots chosen in March)
            Players with advanced readiness/skills may be allowed to play up (there are 4 divisions).

SCHEDULE:  THURSDAYS, APRIL 20^TH – SATURDAYS, JUNE 1^ST

Practices:  Thursdays, 5:15-6:30pm (younger) or 6:45-8:00pm (older) – 4/18, 4/25, 5/2

Practice w/Games: Sat/TH:  Sat.5/4, TH 5/9, Sat. 5/11, TH 5/16, Sat. 5/18, TH 5/23,

                               TH  5/30, Sat. 6/1

Games:  Saturdays, 9:00-10:15am (older) or 10:30-11:45am (younger)

Celebration Day:  Saturday, June 1st – Tailgate Party following the game!

Coaches Meeting:  THURSDAY, APRIL 11 – 6:00pm (K & 1^ST); 7:00pm (2^nd, 3^rd, 4^th)
