Sharing God's Word with Children

Vacation Bible School (VBS) connects children to life in Jesus during a fun-filled week of summer, full of Bible-based activities and hands-on-learning.  The program is geared for children age 3 to those entering 5th grade in the fall. Students entering 6th grade in the fall, and those older, as well as adults of all ages are welcome to volunteer.

Volunteer opportunities

We need 300 enthusiastic, dedicated volunteers who love the Lord and love children!  Opportunities include crew leaders, Bible story tellers, assisting with craft projects, preparing refreshments, planning recreational activities, leading music, help with nursery, assisting with promotion and publicity and more! All volunteers are asked to attend 1 or 2 training sessions prior to VBS week.

Mission Project
coloring books for the children to learn about Jesus and his MIGHTY love!

Bibles
During the Expedition we gifted 35 Bibles and 5 Beginner Bibles to families who did not have a Bible in their home.

Iopeners were new this year!
During snack time crews were able to practice a family devotion. Then each child took home iopeners to lead family devotions in their home.

No cookies and Kool Aid!
All snacks were made by our crews! And each one told the Bible Story again.

Recycle and Reuse - New Friends set sail too!
Many of our Crocodile Dock decorations were repurposed for High Seas. Plus we have networked to share our resources and decorations with 10 churches in the Milwaukee area.

2 Ships!
WFLC and Sanctuary are their names. Each set sail with hundreds of shipmates praising Jesus!

Psalm 119
is now in our memories! Read it to find many awesome things about God’s Word!

We Learned
God’s Word is … True, Comforting, Surprising, Life-Changing and for EVERYONE!

Overheard at High Seas
“I loved going on a mission trip right here at my own church because I shared
Jesus with so many people who didn’t know Him!” Praise God, BLC!

Operation Kid-to-Kid Mexico! We made 56 warm and cuddly “Jesus Loves Me” blankets to be sent with the Life in Jesus Youth Mission Trip Group in 2011. We also will send
